For those that like to dine out, Richmond’s Fan District offers the largest and most diverse collection of dining options within its borders. While there are several nodes that offer multiple options within a small radius, almost any address within The Fan District is no more than a block or two walk from a locally owned establishment.
While the ‘bar scene’ may be more prevalent along Robinson in the western (or Upper) Fan or along Main Street closer to VCU, there are many options throughout the district as well as bordering neighborhoods such as The Museum District/Carytown and Oregon Hill. As with restaurants in any city, all are in constant state of flux with new menus, looks and concepts being tested in order to stay on top or to become the next cool place to be and be seen.
